This book, and the author's previous book, 'Revelation Road,' have an interesting concept - to put Bible prophecies from many different areas of the Bible in chronological order, and present them as fiction, to allow the reader some context. I get it. It's a good idea. However..... Bill Salus' skill as a writer of fiction is, uhm...limited. He does put the events of prophecy in order, as he interprets them, but the characters are 'stick-figure' shallow and undeveloped, and the 'plot' suffers from the same naivete as earlier works by others, such as the 'Left Behind' series. ( Everyone has unlimited money, no restrictions of persecution, access or influence, and jet all over the world in order to be present at prophetic events, etc.) I understand there is to be a third book to complete the trilogy. Salus might want to consider a co-author or ghostwriter for the fiction parts of future books. The same lack of development cannot be said for the second half of the book, where Salus goes into great detail to explain possible fulfillment of various end-time prophesies. Serious students of Bible prophecy will probably want to skip to that half, no matter how well-intentioned the book format.Product details

I am putting this book on my "Left Behind" shelf to help guide my unbelieving family through this soon coming 'Tribulation' period.
